How to play Spiro-Dood

Spiro-Dood is a free gear drawing toy from DoodLabs, like the ring-and-gear sets from the 60s and 70s, with no pins and no slipping.

  1. Pick a ring and choose whether the gear rolls inside or outside it.
  2. Pick a gear. Smaller gears make more loops; gears close to the ring size make big open petals.
  3. Pick a pen hole. Holes near the edge make sharp loops, holes near the middle make soft waves.
  4. Spin, then change the settings and spin again to stack layers.
  5. Save image keeps your design as a picture.
