1. Overview
Dood Labs is an XRPL-native discovery and marketplace experience for digital collectibles and creator collections. We collect only the information needed to operate the site, support wallet-based browsing, process artist applications, and keep the platform stable during beta.
This policy applies to visitors and registered creators who use Dood Lab web pages, connect a wallet, or submit content through our application flows. It does not describe third-party products you reach through outbound links (for example, DoodSmooth or external storefronts), which maintain their own policies.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Dood Lab, we may collect or process the following categories of information:
- Wallet address when connected. If you connect via Xaman (XUMM), we store session-related identifiers tied to your public XRPL address so the site can recognize you across visits during the session period.
- Profile and application information. Artists and creators may submit display names, bios, social links, optional messages to reviewers, and collection selections as part of signup or DOOD Powered applications.
- Collection and taxon data from XRPL. When you scan issued collections or browse marketplace listings, we process issuer addresses, taxon identifiers, NFT metadata references, listing signals, and related discovery fields drawn from the XRP Ledger and our indexes.
- Site usage and error logs. We collect technical data such as page views, device/browser type, approximate performance metrics, client errors, and stability events to diagnose outages, layout issues, and abuse.
- Report issue submissions. If you use “Report issue” in the footer or similar support flows, we receive the category, description, and diagnostic context you choose to send (which may include page URL, build version, and non-sensitive technical metadata).
We do not ask for government ID, payment card numbers, or private keys through Dood Lab. Never share your wallet secret or seed phrase with us or anyone claiming to represent Dood Labs.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Wallet connection — restore sessions, display your connected address in the UI, and gate features that require a linked wallet.
- Marketplace browsing — show collections, listings, profiles, feeds, and search results relevant to XRPL activity.
- Artist applications — review DOOD Powered and creator signup requests, including manually evaluating submitted collections during beta.
- Collection discovery — index, rank, and surface issuer/taxon groups and related metadata for exploration and marketplace integrity.
- Security and stability monitoring — detect errors, mixed build versions, suspicious traffic patterns, and client-side failures through privacy-conscious logging tools.
- Support — respond to issue reports and operational inquiries sent to our contact channels.
4. Wallets and Blockchain Data
The XRP Ledger is a public blockchain. Issuer addresses, taxon IDs, NFT metadata URIs, transaction history, and ownership signals visible on-ledger are inherently public and outside Dood Labs’ control.
- Dood Labs does not control, amend, or delete blockchain records once they are confirmed on XRPL.
- On-chain actions you approve through your wallet provider (including purchases, offers, and transfers) are executed by you via Xaman/XUMM or another compatible wallet — not by Dood Labs acting on your behalf.
- We may display public ledger data and third-party index results to power discovery; accuracy ultimately depends on network state and upstream data providers.
5. Cookies / Local Storage
Our site uses browser storage technologies for essential operation, including:
- Wallet session — to remember that you connected and to reduce repeated sign-in prompts during a session window.
- Preferences — such as UI state, dismissed banners, or debug flags you explicitly enable.
- Local health and debug logs — short-lived client-side diagnostic entries used for stability troubleshooting; these are not sold and are designed to avoid unnecessary personal detail where possible.
You can clear site data through your browser settings; doing so may disconnect your wallet session and reset on-device preferences.
6. Third-Party Services
Dood Lab relies on external services that may process limited technical or wallet-related data under their own terms:
- Xaman / XUMM — wallet connection and transaction signing.
- XRPL public data and API providers — ledger queries, metadata resolution, and marketplace signals.
- Firebase, hosting, and analytics infrastructure — where used for backend APIs, file hosting, authentication helpers, or aggregated usage telemetry.
- DoodSmooth and related product links — separate experiences that may collect information under their own privacy policies when you leave Dood Lab.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in limited circumstances:
- With service providers that help us host the site, operate APIs, monitor reliability, or process support requests — under confidentiality and purpose-limitation expectations.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, Dood Labs, or the public.
- For security purposes, such as investigating fraud, wallet abuse, or attacks on our infrastructure.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to notice where practicable.
8. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the marketplace, maintaining audit trails for artist review, resolving support tickets, and meeting legal obligations. Wallet session tokens expire according to configured session duration. Application and profile records may be kept while your creator account or pending review remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward for compliance and dispute resolution.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a beta marketplace product, including HTTPS transport, access controls on backend systems, and monitoring for abnormal activity. No online service can guarantee absolute security; you are responsible for securing your wallet device and approving only transactions you understand.
10. Children’s Privacy
Dood Lab is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. User Choices
You can:
- Disconnect your wallet and clear browser storage at any time.
- Choose not to submit artist applications or optional profile fields.
- Limit information in support reports to what is necessary to describe your issue.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of account-related information we control by emailing us (subject to legal and operational limits).
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Dood Lab features, partners, or legal requirements change. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice on the site. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
